Question: I have purchased a Premium Account, but your system does not log me in. What could be wrong?

Answer: Please make sure you did not erase cookies from your computer and not using any software that blocks receiving and sending of cookies, like firewall.

Question: I might enter my e-mail address when I register as a regular or premium member. Will I receive any solicitation emails to my e-mail address?

Answer: NO, you will not. We do not sell or give anybody e-mail addresses of our users. The only communication you may receive to your e-mail address from us are notification messages about our service. You need to enter your e-mail for password recovery.

Answer: You can upload any file types like EXE, MP3, MPEG, AVI, RAR, ZIP, JPG, etc. Music files, video files, mp3, applications, games, ringtones, office files (e.g. in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc), projects, models, architectural drawings, conference recordings, price-lists, regular agreements, laboratory data, server configuration files, advertising booklets, and so on. The size of a file you can upload is the maximum in the Internet now – up to 10GB!

Question: How long will my uploaded file be stored on Extabit.com?

Answer: Extabit.com offers the longest file storage period up to 20 days since the last download for usual accounts and eternal storage of 100 Gb of files for “Extended premium” accounts. Any file is allowed to be stored in our system if it complies with our terms of service and user agreement, and does not violate the laws of your country. It particularly means that files that violate the copyright laws or contain any copyright infringement information will be deleted as soon as they are reported or found.

Question: I do not have a registered account on Extabit.com. How long will my files be stored?

Answer: Extabit.com is a free file hosting service and the registration is not compulsory. Even nonregistered users can keep their files up to 20 days since the files were downloaded last.

Question: Can I delete my uploaded file at any time?

Answer: Of course, you can! But you should be a registered user. You can manage your files on 'My Files' page.

Question: My Web hosting does not allow storing large mp3 and avi files. Can I upload these files to Extabit.com and place a link to them on my website so visitors of the website can download them?

Answer: You can upload an unlimited number of files to our system and place their download URLs anywhere you want, like on your website, page, public message forums, live journals, blogs, social networks (Twitter, FaceBook, My Space), etc. You can send download URLS of those files to your friends via Instant Messaging systems, like ICQ, AIM, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, and also of course via e-mails (excluding spam, of course).

Downloading files from Extabit.com

Question: What are limitations for download of files from Extabit.com?

Answer: There is no limitation for the number of downloads of any file in our system! If you are not a Premium member, you can upload only one file at a time. Premium members can download an unlimited number of files simultaneously, each in several threads, and resuming of interrupted downloads are also supported! Moreover, you can use any download accelerator, such as Download Master, FlashGet, etc.

Question: Why sometimes are files downloaded very slowly?

Answer: The low speed may be also caused by the fact that the same file is downloaded simultaneously from a number of places. In such cases internet traffic is shared among all the users. If you want to have priority for downloading, we recommend registering a Premium Account or trying to download this file later.

Question: For some reason your system informs me that I´m currently downloading files or have already downloaded too many, though I haven´t downloaded any files yet! Why is that?

Answer: Our system uses your IP-address to count the amount of downloads. If you receive such a notice and you really haven´t downloaded anything, then you probably use the proxy-server that is simultaneously used by other people. You should turn off such proxy-server(s). If your provider doesn´t allow it the only possible solution for you is a Premium Account. Premium-account uses cookies (not IP addresses) to count your downloads.

Question: What if the file that I wanted to download is missing on the server?

Answer: There are only 3 reasons for files to be deleted:
  1. Upon the request of the copyright holders;
  2. The file expiration date came;
  3. The person who has uploaded the file to the service deleted it.
It can also happen that the server hosting the file is temporarily unavailable. In such case you'll get a notification.

Question: Why does Windows Media Player start while downloading a file?

Answer: To solve this problem, you will have to disable comparison with AVI files in Windows Media Player. You can do that step by step. In Windows Media Player you should open menu Service, then go to Parameters, then Type Of Files, remove the check mark on AVI (mp3, mpg, etc), whatever kind of files you are having problems with.

Question: How can I download a file from Extabit.com for free?

Answer: You can download any file less than 2,5Gb from Extabit.com absolutely free. Press the “Free and slow download” button on a file downloading page. Wait for the timer countdown and enter characters. If the characters are unreadable refresh the image with the proper button. Then the link for free download will be ready. Press the link and download the file. Turn your download manager off and click the link to download.

Question: How to start working together?

On this page you should form your perfonal rate that fits you best. It’s up to you which rate to choose. The next step is files uploading. We offer four tools to upload files:
  1. Through the form on our main page. (For partners: Please don't forget to identify yourself in our system so not only you but also we could know who uploads files). Choose the file you would like to upload to our service by a simple click Browse. You should click Upload and wait until your file uploads to our web servers (it is not recommended for uploading files bigger than 2GB because in this case it will not be possible to re-upload or continue uploading files if a sudden connection break up happens).
  2. FTP - uploading. FTP is a file transfer protocol. To start uploading files through FTP to our web service you need a special software. There are a lot of such products in Internet, both free and paid ones. It is up to you which one to use. To assure a stable connection you will need to follow just three parameters: your login, password and a server address. When file downloading is completed their links and information about them will appear in your account on the page FTP upload , After that you'll need to upload files from FTP server to the Extabit.com servers. All you have to do is just to click Upload button.
  3. URL upload. You can also upload files from other servers in Internet. Visit a remote downloads centre. Click Add a download button and type in the required information. This download method is recommended for advanced Internet users.
  4. Flash upload. The most comfortable type of uploading. Simply click on 'Browse' button and select the file you want to download. Don't forget that max quantity of files you can upload is 100, max file size - 2000Mb, max total files size 5000Mb. If all these conditions are observed you'll upload files quickly.
  5. Torrent upload. For this download method you need to have is a downloaded torrent file. Click the ‘Add download’ and then ‘Select a file’ and upload it by clicking ‘Add a file’ button. After that you select the files and click "Add download", the system will load them into your account.

Question: How long will my files be stored?

Answer: File storage period is 30 days after the last download. But if you buy an extended premium you can store 100Gb of files while your premium is active.

Question: Why can't I upload a file to the server by Remote upload?

Answer: Please be sure that link to the file that you are trying to upload, is direct. Please be sure that file you are trying to upload is available for uploading. If you want to upload files from another file sharing service, please remember that in most cases a free link gis unique, being generated especially for you. And nobody but you can use it.

Question: How can I get money to my wallet

Answer: First of all you need to visit webmaster menu in payments part. Then click the Change button near 'Wallet' and you'll be forwarded to the WMZ wallet (PayPal account) change page. Question: How does the pricing plan «$20 per 1000 downloads» work?

Answer: We pay for ALL downloads of ANY files of ANY size from ALL countries. The tariff is calculated for each partner. It depends on the traffic quality; i.e. the number of Premium sales in relation to the number of downloads.

Question: How does the pricing plan «50% of sales and rebills» work?

Answer: According to the program «50% of sales and rebills» we pay 50% of the billing. We count every file purchased from any country.

Question: How does the pricing plan «$10 for 1000 downloads, 30% of Premium sales» work?

Answer: We pay 30% of billing of purchases from all countries and up to $10 for 1000 downloads without any country and file size limits. The Partner effectiveness affects his download earnings i.e. the amount from premium sales relative to the total earnings. The percentage is calculated daily based on the last 2 weeks (14 days) data.

Question: I choose the rate $20 per 1000 downloads (or 30% of sales per 1000 downloads). Why is the payout for 1000 downloads less than in the rate?

Answer: You get up to $20 ($10) per 1000 downloads of your files. The exact amount depends on your effectiveness, that is the amount of premium accounts sales.

Question: Why do I have in the Partner reports a Premium price which is not in the tariff?

Answer: In Sales report the billing profit is shown i.e. with payment system fees deduction.

Question: Can I copy a file from Extabit.com to my account?

Answer: Yes, you can copy ANY file from Extabit.com to your account. Click the file link of the file you want. Then click “copy file” button in the right lower corner, choose the path and in a while you’ll see the file in your account.
